Kyoto, Japan — Coarobo GK recently conducted a MoveIt tutorial series with Panasonic Corporation to teach advanced motion planning strategies.
The tutorial series was supervised by Coarobo GK's team of experts who have extensive knowledge and experience in robotics manipulation and motion planning. Together, they covered various topics, including the basics of MoveIt, its applications in robotics, and advanced motion planning strategies, such as OMPL, CHOMP, or STOMP, in highly constrained environments. The tutorial series was conducted over a month in five online sessions, featuring presentations and hands-on sessions using a simulator running on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and developed entirely with open-source technologies such as Docker, ROS, and Gazebo.
Overall, the MoveIt tutorial series was a resounding success, with 100+ attendees participating in the online sessions. "We are delighted to have partnered with Panasonic Corporation to conduct this MoveIt tutorial series", said Lotfi El Hafi, President & Founder of Coarobo GK. "Our aim was to provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of the latest motion planning techniques, and to help them develop the skills they need to build and deploy advanced robotic systems".
