Coarobo GK Invited by JETRO Kyoto at SCEWC 2021 (Part 1)

Barcelona, Spain (Virtual) — Coarobo GK was invited by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Kyoto to introduce its business activities in a special report on SmartCitiesWorld published alongside the 2021 Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC 2021).

The special report, entitled "The Kyoto Start-Ups Shaping Smart and Sustainable Cities", introduces the research consulting services offered by Coarobo GK in the fields of service robotics and artificial intelligence. Find an excerpt of the special report below:

"Robotics is one of the most rapidly advancing arms of automation technology making a difference to productivity, efficiency and safety in several different verticals. Reliable information on existing projects and pilots is key to the continued advance and application of these technologies. So, too, is already established software but in a competitive and corporate world, these are difficult to find.

Enter Coarobo GK, a company that provides research consulting services for service robotics and artificial intelligence deployments. Its founders jointly realised the value of open-source information and software in this space after implementing a custom solution from scratch for their winning robotics solution at the Airbus Shopfloor Challenge 2016.

Following the revealing of several later iterations of the solution at international robotics competitions such as the Amazon Robotics Challenge 2017 and the World Robot Summit 2018, the founders released their findings for companies and labs to use freely and began to offer consulting and information services to others in the space.

Today, Coarobo GK creates and maintains containerised software development environments that act as a deployment vehicle for robotics and AI researchers and developers to more rapidly take their solutions to market.

Solutions that have been created in Coarobo GK's encapsulated container software environments have been deployed at robotics competitions worldwide and applied in various fields, from retail service robots to robotic arms in manufacturing."
