Coarobo GK conducted a MoveIt tutorial series with Panasonic Corporation to teach advanced motion planning strategies. The tutorial series was supervised by Coarobo GK's team of experts who have extensive knowledge and experience in robotics manipulation and motion planning. Together, they covered various topics, including the basics of MoveIt, its applications in robotics, and advanced motion planning strategies, such as OMPL, CHOMP, or STOMP, in highly constrained environments.

The tutorial series was conducted over a month in five online sessions, featuring presentations and hands-on sessions using a simulator running within a containerized software development environment (SDE) on Amazon Web Services (AWS), and developed entirely with open-source technologies such as Docker, ROS, and Gazebo. Overall, the MoveIt tutorial series was a resounding success, with 100+ attendees participating in the online sessions.

We are delighted to have partnered with Panasonic Corporation to conduct this MoveIt tutorial series. Our aim was to provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of the latest motion planning techniques, and to help them develop the skills they need to build and deploy advanced robotic systems.

Lotfi El Hafi, President & Founder of Coarobo GK

The attendees particularly appreciated the presence of Felix von Drigalski, Vice President & Founder of Coarobo GK and Maintainer of MoveIt, who provided valuable insights into the inner workings of MoveIt.

Coarobo GK remains committed to sharing its expertise in robotic manipulation through training that helps teams adopt open-source tools such as MoveIt.
