Sebastian Carrera contributed to building the foundational infrastructure to deploy Coarobo GK's Software Development Environment (SDE) to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Kubernetes . The SDE, already containerized with Docker, provides standardized and reproducible development environments for robotics researchers and engineers. Sebastian's work established the groundwork for extending this cloud-native approach to GCP, paving the way for scalable and accessible deployment of the SDE for the broader robotics community.

Joining Coarobo GK through the EmFuTech program was an incredible opportunity to work on real-world cloud infrastructure challenges for robotics software. Contributing to the Kubernetes-based deployment pipeline for the SDE gave me hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies in a domain I am passionate about.

The collaboration was established through Mirai Innovation Research Institute's EmFuTech 2023 program, a twelve-week intensive training initiative combining technical seminars, workshops, mentorship, and hands-on industry projects in Osaka, Japan. The program is designed to connect talented international trainees with leading Japanese companies and research institutes, fostering cross-cultural knowledge exchange at the intersection of research and industry. Coarobo GK remains committed to hosting talented interns from international programs and to fostering knowledge exchange between academia, industry, and the global robotics community.
