Coarobo GK is pleased to announce the completion of a technical collaboration with G-ROBO KK , delivering a custom Photoneo camera interface for G-ROBO KK's industrial label placement robotic solution. Commissioned by G-ROBO KK, R&D Engineer Sebastian Carrera developed and integrated the vision system from September 24, 2024, to March 9, 2025, working on-site at G-ROBO KK's Kyoto facility in close coordination with the engineering team throughout the engagement.
G-ROBO KK develops advanced robotic systems for industrial automation. Its label placement solution combines 3D vision with robotic control to enable precise, high-throughput labeling in industrial environments, with the system developed during this engagement destined for deployment with an industrial client in Japan.
Sebastian Carrera led the design and implementation of the full camera integration pipeline, covering hardware setup and trigger synchronization, Photoneo camera calibration, shared memory data exchange, and a cross-platform software bridge connecting G-ROBO KK's C# algorithm stack to a Python-based vision pipeline via Pythonnet. The engagement also included on-site data collection and algorithm testing, an automated testing suite, and complete technical documentation delivered alongside the production codebase.
Sebastian's contribution to our vision pipeline was both technically deep and consistently dependable across a demanding, multi-month project. Coarobo GK demonstrated the kind of reliability and engineering rigour that industrial integration work requires, and they remain a trusted partner for our applied robotics development.
This collaboration reflects Coarobo GK's capability as an industrial technical partner, delivering production-ready software and hardware integration for robotic systems in real industrial environments. Coarobo GK remains committed to expanding its applied robotics expertise across research and industry, and to supporting its partners with the technical depth that complex engineering projects demand.
