Coarobo GK is pleased to announce Coarobo Heartbeat, an avatar on a large screen that sees, hears, and talks with visitors on its own, even with no one at the desk. Its product page went online on October 13, 2026.

Spaces that receive visitors, such as offices, cannot always keep someone free to welcome each person who comes in. Coarobo Heartbeat gives them a host who is always there: Yumemi, a character who lives on the screen, notices people as they arrive, greets them, and talks with them in Japanese or English.

Yumemi follows visitors with her eyes, answers them by voice or by touch, and shows on request what she can do, from changing her outfit to switching between a dark and a light stage. Windows of light around her show what she sees, what she hears, and what she says, so visitors always know what she understood.

Turned on its side, the screen opens her workspace, where she introduces Coarobo GK and its work, with codes that visitors scan with their phones to learn more. The workspace also shows the live readings of the screen itself, a first look at how she will present the data of other systems.

Coarobo Heartbeat runs on the screen alone, with no server, as Yumemi sees, hears, and speaks on the device itself.

In its next steps, Coarobo GK plans to connect Coarobo Heartbeat to robots and other applications through OpenRoIS , so that Yumemi can present their work and their data to the people in front of her. The company launched OpenRoIS on June 24, 2026, as a community-driven open-source middleware implementing the Robotic Interaction Service (RoIS) Framework 2.0 of the Object Management Group (OMG). Organizations that would like an avatar for their own space are invited to contact Coarobo GK.

Every space that welcomes people deserves a warm first impression, even when nobody is free to greet them. Yumemi notices each visitor and speaks with them in Japanese or English, with no one at the controls. This is only her first step, and through OpenRoIS we want her to become the face of robots and applications as well.
