Coarobo GK to Exhibit at ATR Open House 2026 for the First Time as a Tenant of ATR Unicorn

Kyoto, JapanSeptember 15, 2026

Coarobo GK is pleased to announce that it has been invited to exhibit at the ATR Open House 2026 for the first time, as a tenant of ATR Unicorn, the program sponsored by the Kyoto Prefectural Government that brings entrepreneurs, engineers, and creators together at the Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR). The open house takes place at ATR in Keihanna Science City on October 8 and 9, 2026, from 10:00 to 17:00.

Visitors will see live demonstrations of three projects of Coarobo GK. Coarobo Viewport, the company's observability platform for physical robots and AI, shows the state of a robot and its sensors from any web browser. Coarobo Sightline, the company's mixed reality application, lets an operator observe and teleoperate robots from inside their workspace. OpenRoIS , the community-driven open-source middleware implementing the Robotic Interaction Service (RoIS) Framework 2.0 of the Object Management Group (OMG), lets one service application run on physical robots, virtual avatars, and AI services alike.

The demonstrations were prepared with Hajime Teruoka, who holds a master's degree in engineering from the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST) and joined Coarobo GK for a summer internship, during which he explored real-time image segmentation for the perception of robots.

ATR has hosted Coarobo GK since our early days through ATR Unicorn, and we are honored to open our work to its visitors for the first time. Coarobo Viewport, Coarobo Sightline, and OpenRoIS each take on one part of the same challenge, making robots easier to observe, to operate, and to program. We thank Hajime for the energy he brought to these demonstrations this summer, and we look forward to meeting everyone at the open house.
